Note: Computer applications courses teach Microsoft Office 2010 software--the Windows-based version of Microsoft Office. Macintosh users must also have access to Office 2010 for a portion of the course requirements for Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Transcription courses require specialized software and access to audio files, so coursework must be completed in the FLC.
Web Enhanced Courses
Each Flexible Learning Center course has a companion Blackboard site where students access the course syllabus, assignments, and other course information information. Many assignments are submitted through the companion web site and some theory tests may be administered and graded via the companion web site. FLC instructors will be available to guide students through the web site component of the individual courses.
Register Anytime in the First Ten Weeks!
Students may enroll in the Flexible Learning Courses through the tenth week of the semester under an open entry/open-exit registration system. Check with FLC faculty before registering past the half-way mark of the semester to be sure there is sufficient time for completion.
To withdraw from a course prior to the last date to withdraw, complete the Course Withdrawal form and take it to the Registrars' Office. Refer to the College Calendar for the current semester withdrawal date.
