Plan Your Work Wisely!
Click on the link below to use a scheduling tool to help you plan your work. You will be more successful in these courses if you plan your time ahead and don't procrastinate! Use the weekly schedule below to fill in your fixed time commitments for each week (for example, English 101 MWF 9-9:50 a.m.) Then fill in your FLC courses in the available time slots that you have left.
As a general rule, plan on spending about 15 hours per semester working at a computer for each semester credit. You will also spend up to 30 hours per semester credit on reading and proofreading assignments that will not need to be completed at a computer.
Note: Students will not be allowed take more than three tests in one day in the FLC.
Remember that the majority of the FLC courses require work to be completed in Microsoft Office 2010 software. If you do not have the software loaded at home, you will need to plan to work in the Flexible Learning Center or where the software is installed such as the Molstead Library computer labs or satellite campus computer labs.
Remember ... we want you to succeed!
