Step 1: Finding Out About Yourself
We recommend that you select at least two of the following assessments since no one test provides sufficient information for something as important as making a career choice.
(1) ACT Profile
College and Career Planning Experience from ACT.
ACT Profile focuses on college and career planning experiences including exploring interests, abilities, values, and preferred job characteristics and how they relate to careers and college majors. For access, email firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to schedule your follow-up appointment with Career Services.
After you select transferable skills that you enjoy using most, this program will suggest and rate 30 of your most compatible occupations. You will also receive a score for each of the 6 Holland Personality Types and see how that relates to the work you enjoy. Then choose 5 specific occupations and discover why it is a good fit or not. You will also leave with information on these 5 occupations.
