Sharon is a registered psychiatric nurse and an Idaho State licensed counselor. She has a Master's Degree in Education, guidance and counseling, has taught college courses in Special Education and has over 25 years experience working with individuals with disabilities. Sharon has been at North Idaho College over 11 years as the Director for The Center for Educational Access. She is responsible per NIC policy to make initial determination and approvals for accommodation requests. She also provides advocacy, counseling, and advising, for students who have disabilities. Sharon provides disability related education for NIC employees and community members and also assists students who have psychiatric, mobility/dexterity, medical/neurological and developmental disabilities

Ty is the Assistant to the Director /Eligibility Specialist for the Center for Educational Access.  She attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS and brings over 10 years experience in office administration to the NIC Campus.  She is responsible for getting students started with CEA, assisting with submitting documentation and requesting accommodations.   Please contact Ty with any needs and questions you may have.

Ryan has a  Master's degree in Communication emphasizing  on the culture of learning disabilities within the postsecondary environment. Ryan brings four years combined experience in instruction, peer tutoring and advising from Boise State University.  In CEA he is responsible for assisting students who are Blind/Visually Impaired/Learning Disabled with accommodations such as assistive technology, audio material and more.  Please contact Ryan with your needs or questions.

Gina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Organizational Communications from Eastern Washington University.  She has many years of administrative and managerial experience.  At CEA she is responsible for assisting students with psychiatric disabilities. She is certified as a C-Print Captionist by the National Institute for the Deaf and by PEPNET for Notetaking Skills and Serving College Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
