ABE/GED Program

Adult Basic Education (ABE) is a program designed for individuals 16 years of age and older who have withdrawn from public school. We also serve adults who have graduated, but still have a desire to upgrade their basic skills. Tuition is free, and most learning materials are provided!

The ABE/GED program emphasizes individual help and allows students to progress at their own pace. The program offers lab and small group instruction to achieve goals set for each individual student. Students under the age of 18 must have a withdrawal from their high school

GED Preparation

Adult Basic Education is also available for students 16 years of age and older who do not have a high school diploma and wish to earn a GED. GED instruction is available in a lab or small group setting.

GED Testing

The GED battery of tests consists of five separate subject exams: Language & Arts/Reading, Social Studies, Writing, Science and Math. The cost of the five GED tests is $20.00 each for a total of $100.00. The cost of re-taking any of the five tests is $25.00 each. All Test Fees must be paid by cash or money order prior to testing. Students must bring picture ID to Registration and to each GED test appointment.
