Step 1:

Finding Out About Yourself

We recommend that you select at least two of the following assessments since no one test provides sufficient information for something as important as making a career choice.

**All fees are non-refundable**

IDEAS (Interest, Determination, Exploration and Assessment System)

128 question on-line interest inventory. Receive an individualized profile showing how your interest pattern fits into 16 different occupational areas. Explore CIS occupations related to high interest areas immediately.
No appointment necessary - takes about 30 minutes.
Free to student groups.  For non-student groups, the IDEAS assessment fee is $5 per person.**

Micro-Skills

After you select transferable skills that you enjoy using most, this program will suggest and rate 30 occupations. You will also receive a score for each of the 6 Holland Personality Types and see how that relates to the work you enjoy. Then find out why a particular occupation fits or doesn't fit.
1 & ½ hour appointment
Students - $15.00, Non-student fee - $20.00 **

Motivated Skills

Discover the difference between your functional-transferable skills (things you are both good at and enjoy) and your burn-out skills (things you can do, but do not enjoy). Rather than producing a list of occupations, this can help you isolate the abilities that you want to emphasize in your work.

This test is based upon a comparison of your interests to those of successful people in a wide range of occupations.
