Scholarship Information
Scholarships are a form of gift aid that does not require repayment. Scholarships are generally awarded on a variety of factors including academic achievement, talent, athletic ability, leadership, geographical location, field of study, and/or financial need.
North Idaho College students, both current and prospective, are encouraged to complete the NIC Scholarship Application. Students need only complete an application once per academic year and based on that one application will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
At this time only the NIC Alumni Association, Roy and Leona Nelson Foundation, and the J. Douglas and Jan Bell Memorial scholarships require additional materials (essay, financial statement, etc.).
While the bulk of our scholarship awards are announced between April and June, awarding takes place through out the year. If you are selected for a scholarship you will be notified by mail.
To apply for NIC scholarships, students should complete the NIC Scholarship Application and return it to the Financial Aid Office. The Scholarship Application priority deadline is March 17, 2008.
Scholarship Applications are available from the Financial Aid Office, area high schools, and on-line at the link below.
