EC - Entrance Counseling
If you are a first time borrower, you must complete entrance counseling for your Stafford loan. This can be completed at www.mappingyourfuture.org/se and explains your rights and responsibilities as a borrower
MPN - Master Promissory Note
An MPN is used to apply to that specific lender and streamlines your paperwork. One MPN may be used for several Stafford loans. The school will certify your loan eligibility, and you will receive disclosure statements from your lender for each loan approved under your MPN.
If you are a new or previous Federal Stafford Loan borrower, you must visit the website listed below and select one of the lender websites to complete and sign your on-line Master Promissory Note.
You may need your FAFSA PIN to sign the application. You may also download the lender comparison chart to help you select your lender. (in order to access this website you must have your pop-up blocker disabled)

• Put in amount of loan and loan type and select “find loans”
• Enter additional information and select “view loans”
• Select the bank of your choice and follow the prompts
