A large planning and design group, comprised of the Education Corridor partners and other stakeholders, has begun meeting to discuss the entrances, infrastructure, and street designs to tie the mill site into the existing NIC campus and provide greater access from Northwest Boulevard. The work of this group will set the foundation for further development of the Educational Corridor. The design will be engineered by a team made up of JUB Engineers and Architects West and much of the design will be based on previous conceptual work done by Jon Mueller of Landmark Landscape Architects. If planning and design work can be completed by this fall, infrastructure construction, to include a new campus entrance, could begin soon after the start of the new year and be well underway by spring 2011.
