ASNIC elections will be online Monday, September 21st through Wednesday, September 23rd. Be sure to vote on line at www.nic.edu/vote.
Student Government elections are held in the fall and spring of each year. The Executive Branch (President and Vice President) and four Senators are elected in the spring. In the fall, four additional Senators are elected to complete the Board.
To qualify to run in the elections, a student must fill out the appropriate forms and file with the ASNIC Vice President. Campaigning usually starts a few days after the mandatory candidates meeting. A student can run as an independent candidate or they can slate with a party.
The Student Body President, Vice President, and Four Senators are elected in the spring. These officers serve on a one year term. Voting takes place for two days at various polling locations on campus. Student must have a NIC Student ID to vote.

What do you need to do?
- Grab a packet in the ASNIC area, or print your own here.
- Watch the attached Power Point.
- Mandatory meeting with election committee April 8th at Noon.
- Complete all the packet forms.
- Turn in completed packet to the ASNIC offices by 5:00 pm April 8th.
Requirments:
- 2.0 GPA
- 12 credits (Senators and Vice President)
- 8 credits (President)
