Admission Steps for
Transfer Students - Degree Seeking

Application Deadlines – Summer 2012 is May 25, 2012. Fall 2012 is August 10, 2012
If you are planning to complete a certificate or degree at NIC you are considered a degree seeking student. NIC has numerous degrees and certificates to help you achieve your educational and career goals. To explore our programs please browse through the Programs and Degrees Offered link on the right.

1. Complete an Application for Admission

Print and mail the application to the Admissions Office or submit the application online.

2. Apply for Financial Aid

You may qualify for financial assistance. Apply for financial aid and scholarships online at www.nic.edu/financialaid.

3. Submit Transcripts

Students should submit an official transcript from all previous colleges attended. Transcripts are considered official if received in sealed envelope from the college. This form can be used to request a transcript. Request for Transcript Form

4. Meet Assessment Requirement

This can be met by taking the COMPASS test, submitting ACT or SAT test scores (taken within the last two years), or by prior college coursework in English and math. If COMPASS test is required, please schedule an appointment.

5. Complete On-line Orientation for Transfer Students

Once accepted, students will receive instructions on how to complete the online orientation.

6. Pay Tuition

Pay by cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard. Payment can be made through MyNIC with a Visa, MasterCard, or debit card. More information ...

7. Purchase Books

Books can be purchased at the Mica Peak Exchange in the Student Union Building or on-line at www.bookstore.nic.edu.
