  • SOFTBALL: NIC softball player signs with Stony Brook University in New York

    North Idaho College softball player Lauren Maloney has signed to play for Stony Brook University, a Division I school in New York. Maloney, of Las Vegas, was a first team All-Region 18 selection in 2009 in addition to being named to the All-Tournament team following the Region 18 tournament.

  • NIC softball player signs with Southern Oregon University

    North Idaho College softball player Karri Johnson, a starting pitcher for the Cardinals for the past two years, has signed to play at Southern Oregon University in Ashland. Johnson, from British Columbia, helped lead the 2009 Cardinal softball team to a third-place finish in the Scenic West Athletic Conference and a 38-22 record.

  • NIC coaching staff and players offer summer softball camp

    Room is still available for players ages 8-18 to sign up for the North Idaho College’s Cardinal Heat pitching and position play skills camp July 27-30 at Finucane Park, located on the northwest corner of Prairie Avenue and Fourth Street in Hayden. NIC’s softball coaching staff and players will lead the camp, which is divided into two heats, one specifically for pitching skills and the other a position play/offensive heat camp. Both heats will be offered from 8 a.m.
