  • SOFTBALL: NIC splits

    The Lady Cards softball team split in Henderson, Nevada at the Mizuno Kick–Off Classic to open their 2010 season. NIC won their opening game 4-2 against Central Arizona College after scoring four unanswered runs.

  • University High School softball player signs with NIC

    Ashley Moon, a senior at University High School in Spokane, recently signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Idaho College this season. Moon has played varsity softball at University all four years of high school.

  • NIC softball player signs with Augusta State University in Georgia

    North Idaho College softball player Renae Kimbell has signed to play for Augusta State University, a Division II school in Georgia. Kimbell, a sophomore catcher from Kennewick, Wash., was named to the All-Region 18 first team and Region 18 All-Tournament team in 2009.

  • SOFTBALL: NIC softball player signs with Stony Brook University in New York
    11/18/2009
    North Idaho College softball player Lauren Maloney has signed to play for Stony Brook University, a Division I school in New York. Maloney, of Las Vegas, was a first team All-Region 18 selection in 2009 in addition to being named to the All-Tournament team following the Region 18 tournament.

  • SOFTBALL: Player signs with Adelphi University in New York
    11/11/2009
    North Idaho College softball player Amanda Krier has signed to play for Adelphi University, a Division II school in New York where former NIC softball player and assistant coach Paige Smith now serves as head softball coach. Krier hit a team high .451 batting average in 2009 as well as 12 doubles, two triples and 11 home runs in addition to being named to the All-Region 18 second team.
