Biography

Kay was born and raised in Genesee, Idaho. His education includes a Certificate in Office Administration from the U.S. Army, a Certificate in Data Processing and Computer Programming from North Idaho College, a Bachelor of Science degree (Vocational Education) and a Master of Education degree (Computer Technology) from the University of Idaho.

Kay's work history includes a broad expanse of experiences and knowledge that is brought into the classroom to add interest and depth to his lesson plans. He served as an administrative assistant in the U.S. Army - Corps of Engineers, as a department manager with J.C. Penney Co., and was an insurance Agent with Northwestern Mutual Life of Wisconsin. During the 1970s, Kay was an applications programmer with the Old National Bank in Spokane. Kay came to North Idaho College in 1979 as an instructor for the Computer Science-Business Applications program. Since 1989, Kay teaches computer theory and applications for the Business and Professional Programs Division.
