The Level Up Kickstarter Camp


Create an interactive virtual reality game or experience project. If your team reaches the finish line with a market-ready project, mentoring will be available to launch the project to Kickstarter.

Virtual Reality


Virtual reality is in the forefront of cutting edge technologies. Campers create custom 3D environments and objects to explore in their own virtual worlds. They will create their own cardboard headsets to take home.

A Puppet with Personality


From pinch pot to personality, your characters will come to life as they develop a personality from your vision and your hands. Clay will be combined with other media as you learn hand-sculpting techniques to make expressive creatures out of clay.

Rocks, Sticks, Clay


Our inspiration for this fun-in-the-mud week is the nature that is all around us. Walk on the beach to gather the gems and driftwood and then into the studio to create beach creatures out of clay (both real and mythical). Caution: toes might get wet!

Aerospace Composites Camp 2018


This hands-on program will introduce students to advanced composite materials such as fiberglass and carbon fiber.  Students will perform basic fabrication skills and complete one or more take-home projects by week’s end. Successful students will have the knowledge required to succeed at the BSA’s Composites Merit Badge. Lunch will be included each day and students will also receive an event t-shirt. Capacity: 10

Blood, Guts and Bones

Act it Out-IMPROV

NIC Collision Camp 2018


A hands-on and in-depth look into automotive collision repair. Explore the fundamentals of small dent repair, plastic repair, MIG welding, and the creative and exciting work of custom painting as it pertains to this dynamic industry. Lunch will be provided each day. Students will take home their own completed customized project and Collision Camp 2018 t-shirt.

Summer Art Adventures


Meet the Masters! We will visit master artists Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Homer, Cassatt, Mondrian, and Escher. Learn about each artist and what was their influence on art. Students will have an opportunity to create their own masterpieces influenced by their chosen artist. The curriculum is set up to accommodate different interests, skill sets, and ability ranges.

Learn to Weld


Learn to weld, cut, bend, and shape metal. In depth demonstrations will be given on the safe and effective operation of welding equipment as you are guided to create a welded sculpture or product. Build your own Drones


Don’t settle for someone else's ideas. Explore the science of flight with a drone you design for yourself! Learn about computer aided design, lasers, radio control, electric motors, and aerodynamics. We'll design and laser cut frames; add motors, props, ESCs, and flight controllers to create a working drone; then learn to fly them through an obstacle course.

Portraits in Clay


We will use an expression or a figure of speech to inspire our portraits into clay. Imagine making the expression, “I have a frog in my throat,” into a three dimensional sculpture. This class will cover developing a concept and bringing that idea into a three dimensional form. It will also cover hand-sculpting techniques.

Near Space Balloon Launch


Learn about the challenges of being in the hostile environments of space or deep underwater. Ask questions and build experiments that will be taken up to near space or on vehicles going down 1,000 feet on Lake Pend Oreille. This class offers an early exposure to the scientific method through a fun week of experimentation.

From Code to 3D Creation


Learn to code while doing 3D modeling and prototyping. Camp is hands-on and interactive as campers turn ideas and sketches into tangible objects to be printed on a 3D printer. Coding language is developed in OpenSCAD. Beginning CAD will also be part of the week long printing fest.

Near Space Balloon Launch


Be part of this exciting space project. Spend two weeks building the "payload" for a near space balloon launch that will go up 100,000 feet to film the curvature of the Earth. Build the experiments and sensors that will capture the data. Be part of mission control as the payload goes on a wild ride and comes back down with your experiments!
