Director’s Notes
Director’s notes are usually concerned with the play. We have occasion to deviate from that formula.
Jack Green, who designed and built our scenery for over a decade, as well as supervising the scene shop and teaching our Stagecraft class, is leaving us. Jack’s contribution to our theatre department can hardly be overstated. His willingness to take on many thankless tasks has created a great deal of stability in our program as a whole, allowing the department to grow and provide a solid theatre training program. Jack set high standards for production values in our plays that demanded – and were met only through – his time and diligent effort. He has been an essential person in just about any way one might think of in doing what we do. Before I begin to sound verbigerate, I’ll end these permutations of grateful acknowledgements of the many advantageous outcomes that Jack’s service has brought to this department.
We dedicate this production to Jack and wish him the very best, which is what he has given us.
