Project Request Procedures

To submit a software project request, contact the Manager of Applications Development at ext. 7867.  Be sure to include a "needed by" date in your request.  If you have any supporting paperwork, send it in by campus mail to the Manager of Application Development in the Information Technology department.

Datatel Colleague System

The Datatel Colleague system provides personnel, payroll, accounting, purchasing, and student data services to the college community.  The Analysis & Programming group in IT provides support and liaison to vendor support for Colleague.

To request access to Datatel, contact the Help Desk at ext. 3280 or helpdesk@nic.edu.

NIC uses the following Colleague modules:

CF - Colleague Financials:
Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Purchasing

HR - Colleague Human Resources:
Human Resources, Payroll, Position Budgeting

ST - Student:
Admissions, Central Mailing, Student Accounts, Registration, Curriculum, Faculty, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Degree Audit and eAdvising

Datatel Colleague User Information

You can visit Datatel's web site at clients.datatel.com, which contains valuable information on user group conferences, client communication forums, online documentation, and more. The documentation portion of Datatel's site supplies reference guides, user guides, and technical documentation. To access this information, you will need a username and password for the Datatel site, which you can get from Datatel.

Client Communication Forums - There are several Client Communication Forums to which you can subscribe.  You must have a username and password.  To access these forums, go to http://corpforum.datatel.com/forums/login.php

Datatel Users' Group - The Datatel Users' Group site contains information about upcoming conferences, archives of previous conferences, and more.

R25

R25 (from CollegeNET) is a campus event and room scheduling system.  It allows a scheduler to search for suitable spaces across campus that are available for academic and non-academic events.  To request access and training information, please contact the Office of Instruction, Molstead Library 252 (x3305).
