Office Moves: What you can expect Providing data and phone service to a new office location (or a different desk within the same office) requires notification to Information Technology in advance of the move. A network wall plate does not assure that service is available in a given location. Information Technology will test that service before the move and take steps to assure minimal service interruption. Information Technology has created an online form that needs to be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the expected move date. Click here to submit the Move Analysis Form. Information Technology will log a 'Move Services' request in our database describing the move parameters for your phone and computing equipment based on the information provided to us in the Move Analysis Form. Please add any additional and helpful comments at the bottom of the form. Information Technology will reconnect your computing equipment and configure your computer for network access after your equipment has been moved to the new location if you require it. We do not physically move computing equipment. Please contact the Physical Plant at x3413 to schedule the physical move of your equipment to its new location. IOur goal is to reestablish your phone and data service as quickly as possible after you have moved.
