Windows Vista

Microsoft's latest Windows operating system, Windows Vista, is currently undergoing testing and evaluation. There are many editions and versions of the operating system and each must be evaluated and tested for integration and compatibility into the NIC computing environment.

Vista has been implemented in several instructional facilities and is in use with 'Tablet PC' hardware. Widespread adoption is still under consideration and will be evaluated in comparison to Microsoft Windows 7 beta.

Office 2007

Office 2007 is being installed all new and rebuilt computers. A widespread implementation is anticipated for the Spring of 09.
