Wireless Services

Services available via 802.11 wireless or other (TBD) wireless protocols will include:

  1. Full access to NIC information systems for Authenticated Users, including Internet attachment for personal computers, mobile computing devices, and wireless capable PDA’s.
  2. A shared 512k internet attachment for Guest users.
  3. Integration of various wireless services, such as LCD projectors, wireless keyboards/mice, and wireless PDA synchronization.

The approach will be to obtain adequate signal in public areas, classrooms and offices in that order. Site surveys and other tests will be conducted while these implementations are underway. This list may be altered to provide greater services as knowledge is gained.
