New Service

To initially request phone services or to make changes to an existing account, you'll need to complete an Account & Computing Request form

Phone Types

NIC utilizes Lucent Definity voice terminals (phones).  There are three different types of digital phones on campus: 8403, 8410B, and 8410D.  There are also some Unity analog phone units on campus, but they are not common.  Listed below are the details and one-time cost for each digital phone type:

Lucent 8410D -Multiple lines & 12 soft keys for access to features such as automatic callback, call park, call forward & abbreviated dialing.
-2-line, 24-character display provides real-time information, such as the caller's name & phone number.

VoiceMail

The college's voice messaging system is called AUDIX.  This system allows employees to receive voice mail messages from any touch-tone phone and to send voice messages to one or more recipients within the college.  For user instructions, please follow this link:

Long Distance

The college's phone services fall under a statewide contract with AT&T (long distance) and WorldCom (toll-free).  Follow this link for further information regarding the contracts and price agreements.
