Priority Use

The Molstead Computer Lab facilities have been established for the educational benefit of the students of North Idaho College.  A policy exists which covers questions individuals may have about the right to use computer equipment in the NIC Computer Labs.  The following is the procedure used to determine priority:

1.  Students who require the use of computers to complete their coursework will be allowed priority use of the equipment.

2.  Priority for use of equipment in the computer facilities at NIC will be administered on a space-available basis for educational purposes using the following system:

1st Priority - NIC students with current Student ID, who require the use of lab computers to complete their course assignments.

2nd Priority - NIC students with current Student ID.

3rd Priority - University of Idaho and Lewis & Clark State College students currently registered for Coeur d'Alene campus courses with current lab pass (those who have paid the lab fee).

4th Priority - Former NIC students creating job application materials with permission from an NIC placement officer.

5th Priority - Non-profit community groups (e.g., local schools, United Way, museums, athletic associations) by arrangement on a project-by-project basis.
