Acquisition

NIC students and employees may acquire identification cards at the Molstead Computer Lab (click here for lab hours).  The Lab is located on the second floor of the Molstead Library.

At the time of ID service, students must show proof of current registration and a photo ID.  Employees must show a signed "Identification Request Form".  (Appointments for employees during off hours may be made by contacting the Computer Lab Supervisor at ext. 3380.)  For continuing students, ID cards are updated each semester with a validation sticker. Stickers are available at the Molstead Library, Computer Lab, and Student Services.

Fees for ID cards:

• New students & staff - $0.00
• Update ID card with old card - $5.00
• Lost or stolen replacement card - $10.00

Usage

NIC identification cards provide access to numerous areas on campus, as well as free or discounted admission to a variety of events.  You must present your ID card to check out library books, use the computer labs, check out gym equipment, or rent equipment in the Student Union Activities Center and Outdoor Pursuits.  There may be other opportunities for discounts with presentation of ID cards (restaurants, retail stores, ski areas), so don't forget to ask local businesses.

This ID card should be kept with you through your duration at North Idaho College.  Student identification cards are the property of NIC and the use of this card is governed by College rules and regulations.  The card is nontransferable and must be presented to College officials upon request.
