Computer Lab
Consultants
The Molstead Computer Lab
consultants...
-
Provide excellent
customer service -
Helping people is the primary goal of lab consultants. For some, working with
computers can be a daunting task that becomes a nightmare when trying
to finish class assignments. Students can be assured
that approaching a lab consultant with a question - any question - is
an easy task. Users of the Molstead Computer Lab should feel free to
ask the consultants for assistance, if there is some facet of the
system that they do not understand. If the consultant is unable
to help, he/she will usually be able to make a referral to someone who
can.
- Knowledgeable
about computers and software -
Though not expected to know everything about all software, lab
consultants will be able to assist you in starting the computers,
learning the basics of most commonly-used software in the labs, and
assisting in printing. Consultants are not permitted to fix the
logic of a program, or in any way perform work which is directly
related to an assignment.
- Responsibility for
Lab Equipment -
The lab consultants make sure that the machines are in working
condition and virus free. They don't sweep the floors, but they
do make sure that there's a working chair in front of every machine.
There are at least two consultants on duty during regular lab hours.
Employment as Lab
