New Main Window in
GroupWise
Open more than one main
window in GroupWise. This is useful if you proxy another user. You can
look at your own main window and the main window belonging to the person
you are proxying.
- From the Tool bar, click Window>New
Main Window.
| Giving Others Rights to your
GroupWise Calendar
Granting access rights
in GroupWise is accomplished by adding
Proxy
names to your Access List
and defining their rights to your calendar.

Click Tools > Options
-
Double-click Security > click the
Proxy
Access tab
-
Click the "Address Book" icon next to the "Name" box
-
Scroll down and double-click the person's
name - You may add several names if
desired.

Click OK to return to your Access List.

Click the person's name in your "Access List"
-
You may give the same rights to several
individuals at once by holding the Ctrl key while you select
their names
-
Select the rights you want to give to the
user by clicking the Read and/or Write boxes beside
Appointments, Reminder Notes, and
Tasks

Repeat the process
to assign rights to each user in the Access List

You can select All User Access in the Access
List to assign a default set of rights to all users in the
Calendar - e.g., if you want all users
to have rights to read your Calendar, assign Read rights to All
User Access

Click OK

Click Tools > Options
-
Double-click Security > click the
Proxy Access tab

Select the user's name from you Access List
-
Click the Remove User button
-
Click OK
Receive Notifications
for Another User's Calendar or Resource

Click
Tools > Options.
-
Double-click
Security > click the Notify tab.
-
Click the
name of a user for whom you are a proxy or the name of the
resource you own.
If the user or resource
is not listed in the Notification list, type the name > click
Add User. You can select the name from the Address Selector
dialog box by clicking the Address Book icon.

Make sure
Subscribe to Alarms and Subscribe to Notification
are selected.
You are automatically
subscribed to alarms and notification for yourself. If you
deselect Subscribe to Alarms and Subscribe to Notification for
yourself, you will no longer receive alarms and notifications.
You will need to repeat the steps in this topic for your
username.
