Cross Country Skiing

Cross country skiing is a versatile winter sport activity. It incorporates full body movement with low physical impact on the body. The sport can be enjoyed by virtually all age groups and a wide variety of skiing abilities. The course will cover all aspects of cross country skiing, including the history of the sport, how to properly dress, purchasing and maintaining nordic ski equipment and ski technique from beginning to more advanced skills, such as skating and telemarking. This course fulfills a physical education requirement for the A.A. and A.S. degrees and may be repeated for a total of four credits. Activity: 2 hours per week
