Students are expected to use their e-mail account for all official communications with NIC.
As a new NIC student you will be given an e-mail account Monday after you register for classes. This e-mail account will be used by all college offices, including Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Registrar's Office, and Admissions to notify students of important announcements. MyNIC Student E-mail is managed via Microsoft Outlook Live.
New Students - Signing In The First Time
Once your account has been created (the first Monday after you register for classes), you can sign in to your e-mail account using your MyNIC user name plus "@students.nic.edu" as your Windows Live ID, and "nic" plus your six-digit birthday as your password. You are required to change your password and provide some basic information to complete your account set-up. You will only need to do this once. Be sure to complete your secret questions to help you remember your password in the future.
