International Student Relations Club

The International Student Relations Club (ISRC) helps to promote understanding, friendship, and support among people of different cultures. The club is involved in numerous activities throughout the year including outings, get-acquainted banquets, and fund raising activities. The annual ISRC International Buffet is one of the most popular club activities and draws students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Outdoor Pursuits

Outdoor Pursuits offers outdoor student activities such as rock climbing, white water rafting, backpacking, and snowboarding. Outings usually take place over the weekends and NIC vacations. Transportation, equipment rental, and instruction are all included in a very reasonable price. This is a great opportunity for international students to meet American students and to enjoy the beauty, nature, and recreation in North Idaho.

IELP Activities

Each year, IELP instructors and students take field trips in order to learn more about American Indian culture and Idaho history. Also, instructors and students often have holiday parties and potluck lunches so that they can get to know each other better and have fun outside the classroom.

NIC Events

The NIC Student Events Board arranges special NIC events such as dances, bands, and boat cruises on the lake. International students are encouraged to attend these events as well as NIC intercollegiate sporting events, concerts, plays, and other performances free of charge.
