There's no better way to experience Coeur d'Alene Lake than by sailboat. Enjoy 12 hours of hands-on, keelboat sailing instruction aboard Outdoor Pursuits' 26-foot teaching sloop. Spending the majority of our lesson time on the water ensures that the student has a better chance of retaining the information after the course is complete. Proper use of equipment, safety, and terminology are all covered. Students must be 18 years of age.

Rock for College 2013

Lakeside Center Outdoor Stage
University of Idaho Talent Search and NIC Student Support Services in collaboration with the ETS Ambassadors presents the third annual Rock for College Music and Arts Festival.
Six area high school and middle school rock bands, five area singer/songwriters, gallery of local artists' work, food vendors, giveaways, fun for the whole family.
The event is free, but donations are accepted and go to college scholarships for local students.

Have you seen kayakers on Lake Coeur d'Alene and wished that you could be a part of the fun? Here's your chance. Gain hands-on experience and confidence with a variety of boats. Each session will consist of an overview of techniques with your instructor and a paddle tour of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Class content is designed for the beginner. Fee includes use of all equipment. Swimming skills are required. Students must be 18 years of age.

Spend an evening in the lake perfecting the elusive Eskimo Roll. The crew at Outdoor Pursuits has it mastered now it’s your turn. Participants are welcome to bring their own kayak (whitewater or sea) or use one of ours. This should not be your first day in a kayak. Previous paddling experience is required. Students must be 18 years of age.

Note: Be sure to be there early because you will be required to transport your kayaks to the boat transition area, check-in for the race, and complete the gear check all before the pre-race meeting.
Where: Beauty Bay Area, Lake Coeur d’ Alene. The race registration, start, and finish will be located at the Beauty Creek Campground. Here are directions from CDA: If heading East on I-90 from CDA, travel approximately 7 miles to the Wolf Lodge/Harrison (Hwy 97) exit. Exit here and go right (south) on Hwy. 97 toward Harrison, ID. The highway will wrap around into Beauty Bay (approx. 2.5 miles) where you will notice Beauty Creek Road just after you pass the Mineral Ridge day use area. Take a left on Beauty Creek Road. The campground is on your right approximately 1 mile from Hwy 97.

Camping: Beauty Creek Campground has +/- 20 campsites available on a first-come-first-serve basis. We will be camping here on Friday night before the race. You’re all welcome to join us. Camping is also available nearby at the Wolf Lodge Campground.

This team camp has limited space. Three sessions of wrestling will be held each day. The morning session is technique instruction, followed by two duals in the afternoon and evening sessions. A team champion will be determined following pool competition.
