NIC Really BIG Raffle Open House to be held May 19

The public will have the first opportunity to view the $250,000 grand prize home in the North Idaho College Really BIG Raffle at the first open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19.
This year’s $250,000 grand prize home is a two-story, three-bedroom, three-bath located at 6995 Cornwall Drive in Greenstone’s Coeur d’Alene Place neighborhood. This home features a vaulted living room with fireplace and is loaded with upgrades including granite kitchen counters, a high efficiency heat pump, a fully fenced and landscaped lot, and even a backyard hot tub. Additional major prizes include a $20,000 car, $10,000 boat, $3,500 travel package, and $2,000 shopping spree.
Tickets are $100 and only 5,000 are sold for this fundraiser that benefits student and program needs at North Idaho College. Out-of-state residents can purchase at multiple North Idaho outlets including Super 1 Foods, Stein’s Family Foods, Lake City Ford, Trading Company Stores and at the first open house, May 19 from 12-4.

There's no better way to experience Coeur d'Alene Lake than by sailboat. Enjoy 12 hours of hands-on, keelboat sailing instruction aboard Outdoor Pursuits' 26-foot teaching sloop. Spending the majority of our lesson time on the water ensures that the student has a better chance of retaining the information after the course is complete. Proper use of equipment, safety, and terminology are all covered. Students must be 18 years of age.

Rock for College 2013

University of Idaho Talent Search and NIC Student Support Services in collaboration with the ETS Ambassadors presents the third annual Rock for College Music and Arts Festival.
Six area high school and middle school rock bands, five area singer/songwriters, gallery of local artists' work, food vendors, giveaways, fun for the whole family.
The event is free, but donations are accepted and go to college scholarships for local students.

Swimming skills are required. Students must be 18 years of age.

Participants are welcome to bring their own kayak (whitewater or sea) or use one of ours. This should not be your first day in a kayak. Previous paddling experience is required.
