Equipment Check-Out
IMS offers a variety of media resources for individual check-out to provide instructional support. Please call for a list of available equipment. This resource is available to assist faculty, staff and administrators in achieving their goals as directed by NIC's Mission Statement. Reservation and Check-out Policies.

IMS resources are limited and in high demand. We suggest users reserve equipment well in advance and make arrangements to return as soon as possible. To facilitate the greatest utilization of this limited equipment we make every attempt to schedule it on an hour by hour basis.

Equipment Training
IMS provides training in the use of the media components of the multimedia cabinets and carts located in campus classrooms. These components do NOT include computers and their associated cabling or peripherals.

IMS hosts training sessions during Professional Development week and it is preferred that faculty plan to receive training then. Subsequent training sessions can be scheduled during the quarter on a time available basis. To schedule a training session please call the IMS Front Desk a minimum of one week prior to your planned use and IMS will make every attempt to get you trained. Again, this is contingent on available schedules.

Equipment Maintenance
IMS is responsible for the day to day maintenance of all media equipment on campus. Minor bulb replacements, incidental cleanings, video/audio cable replacements and simple repairs are included. Major repairs and warranty work will fall to the owner of the equipment. IMS will facilitate getting the equipment repaired as best as possible.
IMS urges users to please notify us when media equipment need repairs or servicing. Let us know when the main OHP blows, not the reserve...and we'll make sure your resource doesn't leave you in the dark.
