When a book or article can't be found in the Molstead
Library catalog or full-text databases, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Department will request the needed materials from another
library. Materials can come from almost any library in the United States and a great many libraries outside the U.S. as well.
On average, ILL requests will take one to two weeks to be completed. Some materials are hard to find and can come from great distances. Check-out periods for ILL materials will vary depending on the policy of the lending library. Some may have very short lending periods and no renewals. With this in mind, please make ILL requests as early as you can to avoid delays in completing your research projects!
ILL services are offered to anyone associated with NIC including students, faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, Foundation members, and alumni. Patrons from the community will be referred to their local public library for their ILL needs. Please read our policy governing ILL below.
