ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals.

Academic Search Complete provides broad coverage in academic disciplines, including coverage in the field of Education. It contains much full-text content and ranges back to 1975 for some journals.

Professional Development Collection,designed for professional educators, provides a highly specialized collection of more than 550 high quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports. In addition to full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for more than 900 journals.

Several resources produced by EBSCOhost are for young adults and children. For those studying to become educators at the elementary, middle, or high school level, these databases can provide appropriate material for young students. Primary Search, designed specifically for elementary school libraries and public library children's rooms, contains full-text for more than 60 popular, elementary school magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 100 magazines. Full text is also available for over 100 student pamphlets.

MAS Ultra - School Edition Designed specifically for high school libraries, this database provides full-text nearly 600 popular general interest and current events publications with information dating back as far as 1975 for key magazines. MAS Ultra - School Edition also provides more than 500 full text pamphlets, 268 full-text reference books, 82,968 biographies, 90,915 primary source documents, and an image collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas.

EBSCO's Encyclopedia of Animals offers in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals. Within some of the full text, image links are available for the Windows client. Images are accessed by double-clicking any image graphic.

NoveList K-8 allows you to discover the fiction titles that are popular with young readers as well as titles to use in your classroom. You may search for titles by author, title, subject, or plot elements. There are also special resources just for teachers.

Searchasaurus is a colorful, easy-to-use search interface for elementary and middle school students. It combines EBSCOhost's Primary Search, Middle Search, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and a picture database for a one-stop, fun research center for children.
