Using the Keyword Search (shown above) often brings adequate results.  Once you are in the catalog, you can do some more complex searching. You can limit your search to NIC Library only or even limit to Videos/DVD's or CD's only. Options for limiting your search to just Titles , Authors , or Subjects are also available here.

All of these functions will become important to you in your research.  In this tutorial, we will focus on the Advanced Search page where more precise searching is done (shown below).  Setting limits to your searches can be done from Advanced Search and how to do them will be shown in the following pages.  To access Advanced Search from the main library page you must click on the phrase Search the Molstead Library Catalog or go to the catalog located directly below the Keyword Search Window. (see above).

Here you will see the main catalog search page. It is also possible to perform a Basic Search from this page as well as an Advanced Search. To begin an Advanced Search, click the "Advanced Search" tab, as shown highlighted below.
