Library Database Tutorial

Welcome to the Library Database Tutorial.

Links to the library's periodical databases are found on the library web site under "Find Articles" and are arranged according to general subject areas.  You can see these links below enclosed in the pink square .  The databases serve as your primary sources for finding magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for your research needs.  They are all available from off campus by students with computers and Internet access.  Students can print, save, or email articles as they wish.

In this tutorial, we will walk through the process for accessing and using a database from EBSCOhost.  Academic Search Premier is a database that can be used for any research topic. This database can be found within most of the subject areas under "Find Articles."  To view the databases, click on any of the subject area links.   Academic Search Premier appears on the next page (see below).   Basic knowledge about using this database should provide a good grounding for using all of the others.

To continue the tutorial, click "NEXT" at the top or bottom right of each page.  To go back to a previous page in the tutorial, click "LAST" at the top or bottom left.
