    The recent North Idaho College Board of Trustees meeting will be broadcast on Cd’A-TV Public Access Channel 19 through July 7. The June 24 board meeting will air at midnight and 6 p.m.

  • NIC coaching staff and players offer summer softball camp

    Room is still available for players ages 8-18 to sign up for the North Idaho College’s Cardinal Heat pitching and position play skills camp July 27-30 at Finucane Park, located on the northwest corner of Prairie Avenue and Fourth Street in Hayden. NIC’s softball coaching staff and players will lead the camp, which is divided into two heats, one specifically for pitching skills and the other a position play/offensive heat camp. Both heats will be offered from 8 a.m.

    Eight North Idaho College student members of Business Professionals of America (BPA) attended the annual National Leadership Conference, “Blazing New Trails,” in Dallas, Texas June 16-20.

  • 900 tickets remain for NIC Really BIG Raffle

    Approximately 900 tickets remain for the chance to win this year’s $300,000 grand prize home through the 16th annual North Idaho College Really BIG Raffle. This year’s house, built by students in the NIC carpentry program, is located in the Montrose neighborhood at 1909 Teanaway Drive in Post Falls.

  • NIC Outdoor Pursuits to offer summer kayak clinics

    North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits is offering several kayaking clinics this summer. The Sea Kayak Quickstart clinic is designed for beginners and will provide a brief overview of techniques in addition to a paddle tour of Lake Coeur d’Alene.

  • WRESTLING: NIC to host summer wrestling camps

    North Idaho College will host several wrestling camps in June and July for wrestlers of all ages. The first camp will be offered the week of June 20-24 for high schoolers.

  • NIC outdoor power/recreational vehicle student earns certification
    6/10/2009
    North Idaho College Outdoor Power/Recreational Vehicle Technology student Robert Bjelland of Rathdrum earned an industry technician certification through the Equipment and Engine Training Council. Bjelland works for the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department recreational safety division performing marine and backcountry patrols.

  • NIC announces spring Phi Theta Kappa inductees

    North Idaho College recently announced the Spring Semester 2009 inductees for NIC’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. To be eligible, a student must have completed 12 credit hours of courses that can be applied to an associate’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
