VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals split at home

The Lady Cardinals were home this weekend for their two final home games. The Lady Cardinals faced Salt Lake Community College on Thursday, Oct. 29. Both teams came to the court ready to play hard and leave it all on the court. Salt Lake got a jump on the Cards and won the first two games (20-25, 23-25). The Lady Cardinals came back to win the third set (25-22). The Lady Cardinals couldn’t overcome the Bruins who take the fourth game and the match (16-25).
On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Lady Cardinals came up against the Badgers of Snow College. With it being sophomore night, the six sophomores were recognized for their hard work. The six sophomores that were honored were Aubree Chesnut, Callie Johns, Mesa Middleton, Maddie Dolny, Hannah Thompson and Marketa Hanzlova. The Lady Cardinals came out strong and won the first two games (25-10, 25-19). The Lady Cardinals faltered in the third set and the Badgers took the third game (22-25). The Cards cleaned it up in the fourth set and won the game and the match (25-9).
The Lady Cardinals head to Salt Lake for the regional tournament. The winner of the tournament will head to nationals.
