North Idaho College softball player Amanda Krier of Coeur d’Alene, was recently selected as a National Junior College Athletic Association first team All-American.
Krier is one of 15 players from across the nation to earn this honor and only the second player in the history of the NIC softball program to earn first team All-American honors. The first was Angie Boardman in 2007.
Krier, a Lake City High School graduate, finished the season with a .482 batting average, 93 hits, 25 doubles, five homeruns and 78 RBIs. She will hold several career batting records for NIC as well.
