SOFTBALL: NIC's Alyssa Hawley signs with Stony Brook University

North Idaho College softball player Alyssa Hawley has signed to play for Stony Brook University in New York next season.
Hawley, a sophomore outfielder from Spokane, Wash., received first team All-Region 18 honors last season while compiling a .358 batting average. She is fifth in the NIC record books with 54 career stolen bases.
She is the daughter of Beth and Jim Johnson of Spokane and a graduate of University High School.
