  • WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cardinals Win League Opener
    11/20/2009
    The Lady Cards poured on the offense in the second half with 63 points to run away with an 86-68 victory over the undefeated Badgers of Snow College. The Badgers held the lead most of the game until the young Cards pulled together scoring 19 straight points.

  • MEN'S SOCCER: Former NIC standout earns Newcomer of the Year Award

    NIC soccer alumnus Renatto Brito (2007-2009) was recently awarded the 2009 Newcomer of the Year Award for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (NCAA Division II) and named to the GNAC Men’s Soccer All-Star Team after an outstanding season with Northwest Nazarene University of Nampa, Idaho.

  • NIC softball players, coaches to lead hitting and pitching clinics

    The North Idaho College softball coaching staff and players will host a variety of clinics in December and January. Several three-session hitting clinics will be offered at the NIC Hitting Facility, located at Walnut and Seventh streets in Coeur d’Alene.

  • SOFTBALL: NIC softball player signs with Stony Brook University in New York

    North Idaho College softball player Lauren Maloney has signed to play for Stony Brook University, a Division I school in New York. Maloney, of Las Vegas, was a first team All-Region 18 selection in 2009 in addition to being named to the All-Tournament team following the Region 18 tournament.

  • MEN'S BASKETBALL: NIC remains unbeaten

    The fifth-ranked NIC men's basketball team took to the road, playing in the Central Wyoming Community College tournament, and picked up two more victories to improve to 5-0 on the season.

  • SOFTBALL: Player signs with Adelphi University in New York
    11/11/2009
    North Idaho College softball player Amanda Krier has signed to play for Adelphi University, a Division II school in New York where former NIC softball player and assistant coach Paige Smith now serves as head softball coach. Krier hit a team high .451 batting average in 2009 as well as 12 doubles, two triples and 11 home runs in addition to being named to the All-Region 18 second team.

  • WOMEN'S SOCCER: Cardinals lose in district championship

    The Cardinals were disappointed in the bid to make it back to the national tournament this year when they were beaten by Johnson County Community College 3-0. "Despite the score it was actually a pretty even match," said Cardinals Head Coach Dan Hogan.
