Former NIC student designs Idaho Lottery scratch ticket

North Idaho College graduate Nicolet Laursen recently received a $1,000 scholarship from the Idaho Lottery for her design of a scratch ticket. Her winning design “Super Splatters” will be printed by the Idaho Lottery and the scratch ticket will be available to the public in October. Laursen, a 2003 graduate of NIC's graphic design program, is currently working toward a bachelor's degree in graphic design at Boise State University and recently began an internship at the Idaho Lottery as a graphic designer. She is also a member of the National Student Exchange program and will be attending Rhode Island College in Providence, R.I., this spring for one semester before returning to BSU. “NIC was a great place to start my education,” Laursen said. “NIC definitely placed me at the same level of skill as other students who started at a university.”
