NIC to dedicate soccer field in honor of former coach Eisenwinter

The North Idaho College Athletics Department will dedicate the NIC soccer field in honor of former NIC soccer head coach Bill Eisenwinter between the women's and men's soccer games in the doubleheader against Walla Walla Community College Wednesday, Sept. 22. Eisenwinter died in a car accident in 2003 on his way to a soccer tournament in southern Idaho. The dedication ceremony at approximately 4:45 p.m. will include the unveiling of a portable scoreboard used at each soccer game marked with “Eisenwinter Field.” Several NIC soccer players, NIC President Michael Burke and current NIC head soccer coach, and past assistant coach under Eisenwinter, Dan Hogan are set to speak at the dedication. The public is encouraged to attend the event, which will include refreshments. Information: (208) 769-3348.
