Workshop offered in Sandpoint to cover how to enroll in college


Learn the benefits of higher education and how to apply for financial aid and admission during free workshops sponsored by the Educational Opportunity Center of Northern Idaho (EOC) Tuesday, Nov. 9 in Sandpoint. The workshops will cover determining a career or college major, applying for college admission, and how to apply for federal aid through the U.S. Department of Education. The 1.5-hour workshops will be held at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Department of Commerce and Labor Office (formerly Job Service), located at 2101 Pine Street in Sandpoint. EOC is a federally-funded program located at North Idaho College focused on assisting adult residents of Idaho's five northern counties in enrolling in postsecondary education. Registration is not required, but attendees are asked to call in advance to help organizers prepare materials for the workshops.
