NIC presents performance by comedian Kyle Cease

The North Idaho College Student Events Board presents a performance by comedian Kyle Cease at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 in the Activities Center on the lower level of NIC's Edminster Student Union Building. By the age of 18, Cease became the youngest headlining comedian in the Northwest. He had toured nationally, won the International Giggles Comedy Competition, placed in the finals of the Seattle International Comedy Competition and completed his first major movie role by 21. While still living in his hometown of Seattle, Cease was cast as Bogey Lowenstein in the Touchstone film “10 Things I Hate About You.” After the release of the movie, Cease moved to Los Angeles and later beat hundreds of local comedians to win Comedy Central's 2002 Laugh Riots Hollywood Competition. He made his first television appearance on “The Martin Short Show” and was cast in the Columbia Pictures parody “Not Another Teen Movie.” Cease recently completed shooting the independent feature “The Hand Job.” He appeared on UPN's “One on One” and his comedy was animated for the National Lampoon's animated series “Tuned Up.” He is currently a guest panelist on VH-1's new series “Super Secret Movie Rules.” Cease's performance at NIC is free and open to the public.
