NIC Theater Department to hold auditions for spring play

The North Idaho College Theater Department will be holding auditions for its spring production of Steven Dietz's play Private Eyes March 1 and 2. Auditions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Boswell Hall Room 001. Two females and two males who can play roles for characters in their 20s or 30s are needed as well as one male in his 40s or 50s. One of the 20- to 30-year-old men will use a British dialect. Community members are encouraged to audition. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and no prepared material is necessary. Scripts are currently available for early check out in Boswell Hall Room 227. Private Eyes is a comedy of suspicion where nothing is quite what it seems. “The play is funny, evocative and filled with surprises,” said NIC Theater Director Joe Jacoby who will be directing the play. “You'll have a wonderful time working on this production.” Rehearsals will be held Monday through Friday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, March 3. Performances will be in a dinner theater-style format April 21-23 in NIC's Edminster Student Union Building. Information: (208) 769-3220.
