NIC softball players earn All-Conference honors

Four North Idaho College softball players were recently named to All-Scenic West Athletic Conference teams.
Erin DuBrock
, from Spokane, Wash., was named to the All-Conference first team. DuBrock played short stop/middle infielder for the Cardinal team. She finished the season with a .285 batting average, a .938 fielding average and 21 RBIs. She is a pre-physical therapy major set to graduate this spring.
Pitcher
Darci Byrne
, of Medford, Ore., was also named to the All-SWAC first team. Byrne pitched 102 strikeouts and posted a 2.56 earned run average this season, starting in 23 games and pitching in 134 innings. Byrne plans to graduate from NIC this spring with a degree in elementary education.
Lindsay Riley
, from Helena, Mont., and
Spring Montgomery
, from Spokane, Wash., were named to the All-SWAC second team.
With a batting average of .276 this season, Riley hit four homeruns and contributed 18 RBIs. Riley, who played second base/middle infielder, plans to graduate from NIC this year with a degree in psychology.
Montgomery, pitcher/first baseman, is a business major at NIC. Montgomery hit six homeruns and carried a .289 batting average on the season. She posted a .984 fielding percentage and 21 RBIs.
