Annual NIC golf tournament held in memory of Scott Hague

|photo1|The entry deadline for the North Idaho College Scott Hague Memorial Cardinal Classic is fast approaching for the June 10 event.

The four-person scramble tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the Avondale Golf and Tennis Club in Hayden. The event is being held in honor of NIC alumnus and community supporter Scott Hague who died as a result of cancer in March.

The registration fee of $100 per player or $375 per team includes a Cardinal Classic shirt, golf cart rental and dinner from Outback Steakhouse.

The event is sponsored by Harris-Dean and Century 21 Beutler and Associates as well as the NIC Booster Club and the Sports Cellar.

There is a 32-team limit. Register by Tuesday, May 31 to guarantee a dinner and place in the tournament.

|photo2|The competition will include prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, low score, first men's team, first women's team and first co-ed team as well as drawings for prizes donated by local businesses. 

Proceeds benefit NIC athletics through the NIC Booster Club.

Registration forms can be obtained through the NIC Athletics Department, located inside Christianson Gymnasium on NIC's main campus.
