The North Idaho College men's basketball staff is encouraging area youth to utilize summer break to improve their basketball skills.

The Cardinal Basketball Camp Aug. 1-5 is open to school-aged boys and girls. Participants will receive instruction from NIC men's basketball coaches and players, including fundamental basketball skills and individual drills players can practice on their own.

The camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon for boys and girls in sixth grade and below and from 1 to 4 p.m. daily for boys in seventh through 12th grades. All camp instruction will be at Canfield Middle School, located at E. 1800 Dalton Avenue in Coeur d'Alene.

Cost is $95 and the registration fee includes a t-shirt and prizes.

Space is limited and the deadline for entry is July 29.
