NIC soccer coach to speak at NIC Booster Club luncheon
North Idaho College men's and women's soccer head coach Dan Hogan will be the featured speaker at the NIC Booster Club luncheon at noon Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the Fort Grounds Tavern, located at 705 River Ave. in Coeur d'Alene.
Hogan will speak about the move of NIC's soccer programs from the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges to the National Junior College Athletic Association's newly-established Scenic West Athletic Conference soccer league. Leadership of the NWAACC, the “home” conference for NIC soccer since its inception five years ago, voted to eliminate its associate member status, which included NIC and other institutions.
Hogan will also provide a preview of the upcoming season, including returning players and recruits as well as the chance to now compete for a national championship in the NJCAA.
The NIC Booster Club holds its regular weekly meetings Tuesdays at noon in the Coeur d'Alene Resort's Shore Lounge. The meeting is held at a different location on the last Tuesday of the month and typically features a guest speaker.
The public is welcome to attend any of the weekly meetings.
