Timberlake grad selected as Rotary Student of the Month for November

North Idaho College student Mandolyn Duclos, of Spirit Lake, was selected as November’s Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club Scholar of the Month.

She said she enjoyed being a part of the student body leadership so much that she ran and was elected vice president in May 2005.
Duclos also serves as an ambassador of the college, providing new students with information and tours and helping them register, which she says has provided great experience for a possible future career in counseling or advising. She is also interested in a career in science and is majoring in biology.
“NIC has given me more than I ever expected or asked,” Duclos said. “Tremendous opportunities have presented themselves to me while attending school here.”
Duclos plans to graduate from NIC in May, as a first-generation college graduate in her family, and continue her education at a four-year institution.
